UNDER 21?
Ohio drivers under 21 must complete a driver's education course consisting of 24 hours of classroom instruction and 8 hours of behind the wheel training with a licensed instructor. An additional 50 hours (10 hours of which must be at night) of supervised driving must be completed prior to scheduling a BMV driving exam.
1. In Person 24 Hour Classroom Training
- 6 in person sessions (4 hours each and an additional 15 minute break)
- Classroom participation is encouraged through group activities, games and Q&A in addition to lectures, movies and guest speakers
- 10 Instructional Units
- Final exam requires a minimum passing score of 75%
- Students MUST attend all 6 classes. If absent, make up classes are easily scheduled
2. Eight Hour Behind the Wheel Training (with a Licensed Instructor)
High Demand Notice: Driving lessons are typically scheduling 8–12 weeks in advance.
- Four private lessons (2 hours each) may be scheduled once all required classroom training is complete
- Student is in the driver's seat of our car. Vehicles are state-inspected and equipped with an instructor brake and mirror
Before scheduling behind the wheel lessons with Bick's office staff, you must provide:
- Full payment
- Signed digital contract
- Uploaded photo of valid temporary license (front side)
- Uploaded Certificate of Online Classroom Completion
After completing the final behind the wheel lesson, Bick's Driving School of Southwest Ohio will issue an Ohio Certificate of Completion, which will be emailed directly to the student. This certificate, along with a notarized 50 Hour Affidavit, is required to schedule a driving exam at ohiodrivingtest.com
